Yesterday, George White Elementary School was blessed to have Bryan Stowe come and deliver a powerful and touching message to our 4th and 5th graders about bullying. Bryan told them to be upstanders, not bystanders, to band together to fight bullying, to reach out to other kids if you notice them being bullied and to stand by them. He also told the story of how he was attacked at a baseball game by two adult bullies and presented a slide show of the challenges he has faced learning to walk, talk and even feed himself. At the end, the kids stood up and he led them in an anti bully pledge. It was amazing. What an inspiration he is! Thank you for coming to George White and speaking to our students.
