George White Family Night at Pumpkin City’s Pumpkin Farm!!
Join us on Thursday, October 20th from 3:30 – 8:30 PM for an adventure at Pumpkin City’s Pumpkin Farm at the Laguna Hills Mall. Pumpkin City has carnival rides galore in a fun and friendly farm setting loaded with barnyard animals and tons of pumpkins!
Don't forget to fill out your Pumpkin City form that were in last week’s Blue Envelopes. This is a fun-filled inexpensive way to spend time with your family and friends enjoying the Halloween festivities at PUMPKIN CITY. Forms and money need to be turned in by Monday. A table will be set up outside in front on Friday 10/14 & Monday 10/17 at 2:05pm for quick, easy registration.
We are offering a great family value: for $15 per child (no sharing), families can purchase a Pumpkin City Wristband Pass that will allow their child to ride all of the carnival rides at Pumpkin City as many times as they like! Rides include: Train ride, Swing ride, Tubs-of-Fun ride, Boat ride, Car ride, Cars Bounce House, Tractor Town USA, Goliath Slide, and Wipe Out Obstacle Course. Pony rides, Game Booths, Activities and Coin Operated rides are not included in this price. *In the event of inclement weather we will try our best to reschedule.
RUBY’S FAMILY DINNER NIGHT (same night as Pumpkin City~ 10/20/16)
…you can also support the 4th grade Pilgrim trip the same day as Pumpkin City by dining at Ruby's in Laguna Hills Mall right around the corner from Pumpkin City! Flyers were put in your blue envelopes on Wednesday.
You must have flyers with you for George White to get credit!"
As many of you know our wonderful Mrs. Marshall's 3 year old son, Dane was diagnosed with stage 4 Hepatoblastoma liver cancer with metastasis to his lungs last December. For those who are new to the school or not familiar with the Dane's story you can read Dane's story and/or subscribe to updates here:
The recent updates have been very difficult. Our George White community is strong and we believe that Mrs. Marshall and her family could really use all the love and support this community has to offer now more than ever.
DANE’S COMIC BOOK PROJECT
We met with some teachers and came up with a plan to show our support.
We are asking anybody who wants to show support to please have your child write draw a comic/funny picture for Dane to read on an INDEX CARD .
Please make sure they don’t include sad or get well messages , as the purpose of these is to distract Dane from his situation . But please feel free to put your name/child’s name on the back. We will then compile them into a book.
Our hearts are breaking for this sweet child and we would appreciate your help in brightening his day. Please have your student turn in their index card to the front office by this Wednesday, October 5, at 2 p.m . They will be delivered on Thursday.

Attention George White Parents:
George White is currently accepting enrollments of grades K-5 for the 2016-2017 school year. Please have these students enroll bySeptember 13 to ensure they can attend our school. We are currently two students away from keeping our classes as they are now. Failure to enroll additional students may result in George White losing a teacher and the reconfiguration of classes. Please help us by being active in our George White community. If there are students that need to attend school, send them to George White or provide me with their information.
“Working together we can make our students better.”
Principal, George White
